Established in 1966, the North Dakota Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NDCTM) is a partner affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. NDCTM is a professional organization dedicated to supporting mathematics teachers across the state as they work to improve the teaching and learning of mathematics. A primary goal is to provide forums for professional development and the exchange of ideas. Annual meetings, held in the spring of each year, alternate between the eastern and western regions of the state. Since 2016, the spring meeting has been held in conjunction with the ND STEM Conference, sponsored jointly by NDCTM and the North Dakota Science Teachers Association.
NDCTM members include elementary, secondary, and post-secondary classroom teachers. Current membership is at about 350.
